The Locomotive in Chitts Hill was owned by my grandfather,& later divided into houses, Kelvin Cottage & Rosemary Cottage .Thomas’s sister I believe was my Nanna who married a Frost. In all I believe Thomas owned 6 houses where Charlie Mills, Mary & Eva Mills,Frank,John,& Grace Mills Annie & May Frost, & Mr & Mrs Hughes, & Annie’s daughter Ivy Morton & family lived before Uncle Charlie died & according to Thomas’s will ,the houses were then sold & divided among the direct remaining descendants.
My mother passed away
in 1960.
When we lived in Rosemary Cottage there was a smallholding between the cottage & the railway & Uncle Charlie had a piggery, Chickens etc & a beautiful orchard. Is that where the new houses have been built?
